I had the sudden urge to take some moody black & white aerial landscape photos. Unfortunately my private Jet was temporarily unavailable, so no go. Decided instead to "photograph" it using 3D and Photoshop while waiting for my other renders to finish. Too me it doesnt really matter how the image was conceived, what matters is the feeling you get when seeing it.

Like it does every year, ILM took out a two page ad thanking its employee’s in the July issue of Cinefex magazine. My credit is on right hand page, 1st column from the left, 42nd from top. Yay!! I'm extremly proud and humbled to be a part of such great team of people.

Well it's my last day at work before I leave for Singapore. I made this concept representing the beggining of a long, happy and hopefully safe journey. The picture was originally a test for creating 3D generated water. Now to shut down this machine one last time.

Here is an update on whats going on at the moment as 2010 looks like it has potential of becoming a very interesting year. I am very proud to announce that I will be joining the art department at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), a division of Lucasfilm Singapore. I am tremendously excited, honored and humbled by this opportunity to work with a fantistic team of artists from over 45 different countries. I look forward working on new exciting feature film projects and developing my skills but I am also hoping to experience some personal growth. If everything goes according to plan I will be relocating to Singapore on 1 March 2010. As much as I am excited about the unfolding events I am also very much scared and anxious. But then again "Why not go out on a limb? Isn't that where the fruit is?"

Im trying to stay updated by compiling a new showreel, representing my works to date. It's been two interesting years and allot has happened since my last reel. Ive learnt allot and had the pleasure of meeting some great people and working on some interesting projects. The following is a mix of works done professionally aswell as personally. Enjoy! I haven't done a Photoshop Freestyle session in a while, much due to having allot of work on my table, but also the holidays and lack of inspiration. The Swedish winter-season and the lack of sunlight really gets to me which at times feels like I'm on the verge to a depression. Anyway, I'm trying to fight it and get the brain working again by feeding it with colors and light. Here is a little piece paying homage to one of my favourite movies, The Iron Giant (1999), directed by Brad Bird.
